How will you approach this year's Ninomiya?

I will go slowly. I think I'm probably not going to do any individual work.

What?! It's only in February, you are declaring it already?!

If I do, it will be after the summer. It's just an image I have. For about 3~4 years I've been working a lot myself,  I think I don't need to do individual work for a while. I say so, but when I'm being called, I think will do it.(Laugh)

Of course you will be called. You won the prize for Agency for Cultural Affairs art festival.

That was a surprise to me. I was happy that the drama "Marathon" was chosen. We gathered with the staffs and had meal as we celebrated it "Omedetou~" Then, I received Galaxy award for myself, so we gathered again and had meal. After all I'm glad that I won those award because I had a free meal.

(Laugh) So you are restoring your energy now.

I think so. I will just work as a group for now. We will be hosting variety program on Thursday night at 10PM on TBS as we ARASHI are doing great. It's more fun just 5 of us. I think that we should be more youthful from now on and be fresh.

What would you like to do or try?

Fishing that I've been into since last year. Lately I'd like to go to the Izu Area with a ship and thrust a swordfish.

Thrusting it with spear?

Yea. I know someone who goes to thrust fish, there is time when the tuna takes a rest and thrust it from the head of the ship aiming at that time. If it does not thrust well, a tuna will go on a wild rampage and it will become dangerous.

You still want to do it even it's so dangerous.

I want to. It is exciting without considering any excessive things while fishing. The state which I am innocently exciting? (Laugh) It's the same as the time when I making art. 

You have an exhibition and a stage but you chose fishing as something you want to do. You're a hobby guy. (Laugh)

I'm sorry. (Laugh) I love my work too. Especially, the stage and concerts that are live I want to continue.

How are you different from the stage and live show?

Since the stage is a play, I have to prepare and get into the character. So I have to concentrate on and I will be more tense on stage play. On the other hand, I think concerts are more like festivals. They're both fun things to do.

Jun kun

For your individual work, you've been continuing filming movies.

That's right. Especially "Kakushi Toride no San Akunin" was my first historical play and we were making it particular about how many fighting scenes to be done for real. It was hard, but really fun. The scene where you think was CG is actually done real.
I was working with our group at the same time I was filming the movie, so I felt weird every time I put a wig on after I did work as ARASHI.(Laugh)

You spend a lot of time in locations, don't you?

I made the work of the film after a long time. I did "Kiiroi Namida" but I was not at the movie set so much. Although Film takes long time for setting than a Digital movie, but that's what I liked about it. "Hanayori Dango Final" also has many cuts and it takes about same amount of time.(Laugh)

What's the "Hanadan" movie like so far?

Some detailed situations are from the original story, but whole story will be newly written.
It will become a large-scale that only the movie can do.

Is there anything else would you like to try this year?

Not to mention in ARASHI, even individually, I want to enjoy the activity of the music area.
Write the lyrics. Maa, Please look forward to it.

What would you like to do for your work and your private?

We did many concerts last year and I like to do as much as we did.
For my individual work, I like to do something more dangerous for "Tensai Shimura doubutuen"

Do you like dangerous things?

Probably not.(Laugh) Isn't it dreamy?
I want to do basketball that I used to do. I play soccer with ARASHI and there is a baseball team by Johnny's, I like all ball games.

You like to move your body and like to experience the thrill. You are more like physical type.

I feel alive when I use my body.  I will get tired when I use my brain rather than use my body. I don't use computers at all. Also I prefer the location than studio for photo shoots. But It was hard for today's shoot since it was really cold.(Laugh)

Sho kun

Sakurai kun, you did a CM for TOYOTA, you broke the new ground. You are advanced with steady "Step and Go". You must have supported and reliance from the same gender. What do you think of your position?
 
I think it's an effort from News Zero and work from (World Cup) Volleyball.
For au's CM we each had a different situation scenario and they prepared suits for me. I guess they have a such image of me. I didn't want to wear the suit that why I choose this job, how strange.(Laugh)

What would you like to try from now on?

I already started, it's English.

Why did you start to learn English?

I was very envious when I saw Ralph san(Ralph Suzuki announcer) interviewing in English. I thought that I also wanted to do my best. Although I can speak English good enough for traveling, I  want to be able to hear people talk perfectly.

What would you like to do for your work?

This year's "Step and Go" is definitely 5 of us hosting a new variety show. It's new to us that it'll be on prime time and starting from nothing. If it ends just for 1 season I will be like "No~!", so I really like to make it be  a great show.
